Seltene Gesamtausgabe des zuerst in 6 Heften in den Jahren 1878 bis 1882 erschienenen Gartenbuches.
Theodor Nietner (1823-1894) war Königlicher Oberhofgärtner in Potsdam. Neben seiner Tätigkeit für das preußische Königshaus nahm Nietner in den 1870er-Jahren auch diverse Privataufträge an und gestaltete Gärten für wohlhabende Bürger. - Die Tafeln zeigen Pläne und Grundrisse von Park- und Gartenanlagen, Pavillons, Brunnen, Garten- und Gewächshäusern sowie einen Faltplan vom Berlin Tiergarten u. v. m., die Taf. 53 zeigt den Garten Giusti in Verona nach einer Originalfotografie.
EINBAND: Halblederband d. 20. Jhs. mit goldgeprägtem Rückentitel. 39 : 29 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit 59 (auf 58) Tafeln in meist getönter Lithographie sowie 1 fotografischen Tafel. - KOLLATION: 16 Bll. - ZUSTAND: Stellenweise gebräunt und stockfl., wenige Taf. am Unterrand wasserrandig. Einband schwach berieben.
Rare complete edition of the gardening book, first published in six volumes between 1878 and 1882. With 59 (on 58) plates, mostly tinted lithographs, and 1 photographic plate. 20th cent. half calf with gilt lettering on spine. 39 : 29 cm. - Browned and foxed in places, a few plates waterstained at the lower margin. Binding slightly rubbed.
