Signed and dated in the lower left corner. Signed, dated, titled, and inscribed “Berlin-Wilmerdorf, Homburgerstr. 2” on the reverse of the stretcher. 115 x 80.5 cm (45.2 x 31.6 in). [AW].
• The works from the 1920s in the New Objectivity style mark the peak of Ernst Fritsch's artistic career.
• In 1927, the year they were created, he received the “Rome Prize” from the Prussian Academy of Arts.
• Works by the artist can be found in the National Gallery in Berlin and the Berlinische Galerie, among other places.

In good condition. The outer edges of the image are rubbed, with small areas of color loss and slight soiling in places. There are a few small areas of overpainting and retouching, mainly around the outer edges of the image. The condition report was prepared in daylight and with the aid of a UV light source to the best of our knowledge and belief.
