Seltene Beschreibung der Geschichte und Geographie von Kreta, mit Fokus auf die Eroberung und Belagerung 1645 durch die Türken und dem Zustand bis ins Jahr 1669.
Einer von drei verschiedenen Drucken, die 1669 im Verlag von Hoffmann erschienen. - Mit großer Falttafel mit der Seeschlacht in den Dardanellen, die kleinformatigen Falttafeln zeigen Karten und Pläne von Kreta, Rhodos (Insel u. Stadt mit dem Koloss), Malta, Zypern, Khania, Candia u. a. - Der Nürnberger P. C. B. Han (1633-1699) war neben seiner sehr produktiven Tätigkeit als Verfasser historisch-geographischer Werke auch Herausgeber verschiedener, sehr populärer Kalenderreihen.
EINBAND: Pergamentband der Zeit mit Überstehkanten. 13,5 : 8 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit gefaltetem gestochenem Frontispiz von J. C. Sartorius (mit Ansicht von Candia) und 10 gefalteten Kupfertafeln. - KOLLATION: 4 Bll., 369 S. - ZUSTAND: Text, Falttafeln und Frontispiz gebräunt, die kleinformatigen Tafeln weniger betroffen. - PROVENIENZ: Aus der Sammlung H. und W. Uellner.

With folding engr. frontispiece (with a view of Candia) and 10 folding engr. plates with maps and views. Contemp. vellum. - Text, frontispiece and 1 folding plate (with view of the sea battle in the Dardanelles) tanned, the smaller plates not affected. - With bookplate Uellner.
