Album einer Schiffsreise mit der HMS Temeraire mit 86 Orig.-Fotografien mit Ansichten aus Alexandrien, Kairo, Jaffa, Jerusalem u. a. Um 1886.
Interessantes Reisealbum mit großformatigen Orig.-Fotografien, zum Teil aus dem Atelier Bonfils.
Die Fotografien mit Ansichten von Städten, Landschaften, Porträts von Einwohnern, Kameltreiber, Pyramiden, Spinx von Gizeh, Kriegsszenen, Gebäude, Interieurs u. a. - Vorwiegend im Format 21 : 28 cm. - Mit 1 doppelblattgr. Hafenansicht im Format 18 : 54 cm. - Das 1873 fertig gestellte Panzerschiff HMS Temeraire wurde 1881 in Malta ausgemustert und erhielt ein neues Kommando. Bei Ausbruch des Anglo-Ägyptischen Krieges 1882 wurde sie wieder in Dienst gestellt und beteiligte sich am Angriff auf die Verteidigungsstellungen an der Küste von Alexandria. - Tlw. mit eingekopierten Bezeichnungen und Ateliernamen.
EINBAND: Halblederband der Zeit. 28 : 38 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit 86 Orig.-Fotografien, auf Kartonbll. montiert. - ZUSTAND: Tlw. etwas fleckig und Ecken der Kartonbll. bestoßen. Einband mit Gebrauchsspuren.
