• A Bigger Book – the oversized book refers back to one of his most famous pool paintings, “A Bigger Splash”, 1967 (Tate Gallery, London).
• He combines a wide range of techniques in his works and experiments with the latest digital media; he has been creating “computer drawings” since 2009.
• With the drawing on the tablet, connected to the inkjet printer, Hockney created a new definition of Pop Art.
• Paintings, graphics and photographs by the artist can be found in important collections of contemporary art, including the Tate Gallery, London, the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles, and the Musée national d'art moderne/Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris.
• Hockney's work is the subject of major solo exhibitions at renowned museums almost every year, most recently at the Centre Pompidou, Paris, together with the Tate Britain, London, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, in 2017/18, at the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, in 2019, and at the National Portrait Gallery and the Royal Academy of Arts, London, in 2020/21.
