Maygrier (1771-1834) studied anatomy and obstetrics in Paris and became physician at the Société Philantropique later on. The plates, engr. by Forestier and Couché after A. Chazel, illustrate various obstretic operations. - Plates LXVII and LXVIII numbered twice. - Lacking plates XXVII, XXIX, XXX, XXXV and XXXVI. - Foxed in places, all plates with crease marks, folding plate with squeeze marks and several tears, 2 plates with longer tears. Spine defective (spine ends partly mended).
