Von Hügel (1796-.1870) travelled Asia as of 1831 and the Kashmir region in 1835-36. The botanic and zoologic sections of his descriptions are based on, among others, the comprehensive collection of more than 32.000 natural scientific objects, which he collected on his journeys, and make up for the earliest detailled descriptions of the region's flora and fauna. - Slightly browned in places, title with stamp.
