Daniel Spoerri started the so-called Eat-Art in the mid 1960s, but he remained its only representative. At first he ran a restaurant in Düsseldorf together with Carlo Schröter, together they also started the 'Eat-Art-Gallery' in a neighbor house a little later. At first Carlo Schröter was the gallery's administrative head and then took over the restaurant as well, when Spoerri left Düsseldorf. The gallery releases multiples on which several artists work together, such as it was the case with this work. [NB]
