The younger Johann Georg Volckamer (1662-1744) was regarded as the "greatest botanists in Germany in his days, and at the same time an important physician" (Hirsch/H.). - Interleaved copy. - Slightly colored and somewhat foxed, with small worming in places (minor loss of printed matter in places), pagination towards the end corrected by an old hand, flying endpaper with small marginal cutout.
First edition. With 25 copperplates. Contemp. vellum. - Interleaved copy. Sligthly browned and somewhat foxed, partly with small wormtraces (here and there minim. loss of letters), page numbering corrected by old hand at the end, front flying endpaper with small marginal cutout.
