PROVENANCE: Private collection Berlin.

In Hannah Höch's oeuvre, which comprises many different styles, landscapes and the world of plants occupy a predominant position. Höch stages a firework of pastel colors that springs from the vase and spread all over the sheet. Calling reminiscence of Futurism, the facetted forms as well as the lack of mimetic imitation of plant structures let nature appear as a metaphor of vegetation and its principle of growth. [DB].
