Kanten berieben (Bände I und IV deutlich stärker), Rücken verfärbt. - PROVENIENZ: Aus der Bilbliothek des französischen Lepidopterologen Claude Herbulot (1908-2006).
First edition. Complete copy with 1 key plate and 151 col. lith. plates. 4 vols. Contemp. half morocco (4 orig. wrappers bound in). Autograph letter signed by the author tipped in at the beginning of vol. I, addressed to a colleague whom he has sent the first issue of the work, asking for his professional opinion and for his permission in case he approves with the text to add him to the list of subscribers. - Slightly tanned. Edges rubbed (vols. I and IV stronger affected), spines discolored. - Exlibris Claude Herbulot (1908-2006).
