Das italienische Original von 1799 ist nur in wenigen Exemplaren bekannt. Bei Blackmer und Kress nur die ebenfalls im Jahr 1801 erschienene französische Ausgabe. "The first edition, in Italian .. is exceedingly scarce .. Scrofani, an economist and historian, was professor of agriculture at Venice and later director of Agriculture and Commerce for the Venetian State .. This is a very important work, praised highly by Chateubriand in the préface to his itinéraire " (Blackmer). "Im empfindsamen Stil verfaßte und mit Wirtschaftsdaten angereicherte Reisebeschreibung von Griechenland" (Grieb/Luber).

Rückenvergoldung. 20,5 : 12 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit 17 Falttabellen und 1 großen Faltkarte. - KOLLATION: XIV, 423 S. - ZUSTAND: Geringfüg. gebräunt bzw. stockfl., Titel mit ergänztem Randabriß, Faltkarte mit kl. Rare first German edition, last on the international auction market over 20 years ago. Only a few copies of the Italian original from 1799 are known. Blackmer and Kress only have the French edition, also published in 1801. With 17 folding tables and 1 large folding map. Contemporary half-leather binding with some gilding on the spine. 20.5 : 12 cm. - Slightly browned or foxed, title with supplemented marginal tear, folding map with small marginal tear. Binding slightly rubbed and bumped.
