Darlegung der Lehren der griechisch-orthodoxen Kirche, selten.
Erste Ausgabe, erschien im gleichen Jahr auch in deutscher Übersetzung Die heilige Posaune des Glaubens . Der griechische Gelehrte, Priester und Abt in Macedonia, Theoklitos Polyeidis (1698-1759) reiste damals in den Westen, um bei Regierungen, Kirchen und Gelehrten um materielle Unterstützung für das schwer unter dem türkischen Joch leidende griechische Volk zu werben.
EINBAND: Lederband d. Zt. mit Ganzgoldschnitt. 21 : 17 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit gestochenen Porträt-Frontispiz und 1 Falttabelle. - KOLLATION: 14 Bll., 328 S. - ZUSTAND: Ohne die Falttafel mit Kirchen und Klöstern am Berg Athos. - Zu Beginn und am Ende schwach wasserrandig, hint. flieg. Vorsatz entfernt. Einband beschabt und mit Wurmspuren. - PROVENIENZ: Exlibris und Stempel auf Titel von Freiherr von Ende-Altjeßnitz, als Ausgeschieden gestempelt. - Exlibris H. & W. Uellner.
First edition. Scarce. The text gives an exposition of the doctrines of the Greek Orthodox Church, written by a Macedonian priest. With engr. portrait and 1 folding table. Contemp. calf with gilt edges. - Missing folding plate, showing all the churches and monasteries on and around Mount Athos. - Partly slightly waterstained, back flying endpaper removed. Binding slightly scraped and with wormtraces.
