Erste französische Ausgabe, "eine Uebersetzung von J. H. Knecht's Vollst. Orgelschule von 1795 bis 1798 in 3 Teilen." (Eitner) - Vollständig in Kupferstich gedruckt (Verlags-Plattennr. 379). - Martini "Il Tedesco" (auch Schwartzendorf; 1741-1816) stammte ursprünglich aus Freistadt in der Oberpfalz.
EINBAND: Roter Maroquinband der Zeit mit goldgepr. Rückentitel und goldgepr. Wappensupralibros auf beiden Deckeln sowie Goldschnitt. 39,5 : 29 cm. - KOLLATION: 2 Bll., V, 323 S., sämtl. in Kupferstich. - ZUSTAND: Leicht stockfleckig und Ränder etw. gebräunt, mit 2 Bleistift-Karikaturen im unt. Rand und 1 gr. Bleitstiftzeichung auf dem letzten Bl. verso. Einband beschabt. - PROVENIENZ: Aus der Bibliothek Napoléons I.

First French edition, a translation of J. H. Knecht's "Vollständige Orgelschule" (1795-1798). Engraved throughout (publisher's plate no. 379). Contemp. red morocco with gilt title on spine, gilt armorial supralibros on both boards and gilt edges. - Slightly foxed, margins somewhat tanned, with 2 caricature sketches in pencil in lower white margin and 1 larger pencil drawing on verso of the last leaf. Binding rubbed. - From the library of Napoléon I.
