Eine der umfangreichsten Ausgaben des beliebten kleinformatigen Atlasses, mit zahlreichen Kupferkarten der ganzen Welt.
Letzte deutsche Ausgabe. Nach Van der Krogt mit dem vollständigen Kartenteil, darunter die nicht allen Exemplaren beigebundene und nicht bei Koeman (aber bei Van der Krogt) aufgeführte Karte von Kleve (S. 249). Teil I umfaßt die Britischen Inseln, Nordeuropa, Deutschland und die Niederlande, Tl. II Frankreich, Schweiz, Spanien, Italien und Asien, Afrika und Amerika. Unter den schönen, sehr zahlreichen Karten von Abraham Goos und Petrus Kaerius finden sich die Weltkarte in zwei Hemisphären, eine Polkarte und die vier Kontinente Europa, Asien, Afrika und Amerika sowie viele Teilkarten der obengenannten Regionen.
EINBAND: Pergamentband der Zeit mit handschr. Rückentitel und Goldschnitt. 20 : 25 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit 1 Titel (von 2) mit illustrierter gestochener Bordüre und 215 ganzseitigen Kupferkarten. - KOLLATION: 5 (st. 6) Bll., 460 (recte 468) S., 2 Bll.; 1 Bl., 428 (recte 436) S., 1 Bl. - ZUSTAND: Fehlt das Haupttitelblatt. Vereinz. leicht fleckig, Vorbll. mit Randläsuren, 1. Bl. der Vorrede oben mit kl. Eckausschnitt, ansonsten innen sauberes Exemplar. Obere Einbandecken lädiert. - PROVENIENZ: Norddeutsche Privatsammlung.

With 1 title page (of 2) with broad engr. borders and 215 engraved plates (complete copy according to Van der Krogt, containing the map of Cleve on p. 249 which had been included only in few copies and is not listed by Koeman). Contemp. vellum with gilt edges and ms. title on spine. - Lacking the main title page. Only here and there stained, forleaves with marginal defects, 1 leaf of "Vorrede" with cut off corner. Otherwise overall clean copy. Upper right corners of binding defective. - Northern German private collection.
