Seltener Titelholzschnitt für die gleichnamige Mappe, die zusammen mit einem weiteren Orig.-Holzschnitt (Inhaltsverzeichnis) beigegeben ist. Aus einer Auflage von 40 Exemplaren.
Die originale rote Halbleinen-Mappe (Maße 63 : 52,5 cm) mit kaschiertem Titelholzschnitt (rotes Papier). Das Inhaltsverzeichnis ebenfalls signiert, datiert und mit der Exemplarnummer "Mappe 37/40" bezeichnet, sowie mit dem Wasserzeichen SASKIA. Beide Blätter mit der Druckersignatur. - Gedruckt von F. Voigt, Berlin, und 1921 herausgegeben von J.B. Neumann, Berlin.
- ZUSTAND: In guter altersgemäßer Erhaltung. Die Blätter leicht gebräunt und in den breiten Blatträndern partiell leicht stockfleckig, die unteren Blattecken jeweils minimal bestoßen, das Inhaltsverzeichnis hier mit winzigem Papierverlust und einem winzigen Einrisschen (2mm) rechts. Die Mappe mit Gebrauchsspuren, das Erscheinungsbild dadurch aber nur leicht beeinträchtigt. Die Holzschnitte mit klarem, kräftigem Druckbild. - PROVENIENZ: Sammlung Hermann Gerlinger, Würzburg (verso mit dem Sammlerstempel Lugt 6032).

Rare title woodcut for the portfolio of the same name, which is included along with another original woodcut (imprint). From an edition of 40 copies.
In good condition consistent of the age. Slight foxing in places of the wide margins. The table of contents with a somewhat stronger brownish stain in the center of the upper margin. The lower corners of each sheet minimally scuffed, the table of contents with a tiny paper loss and a tiny tear (2mm) in the right margin. The illustrations in clear, strong impression. The portfolio with signs of wear. Two rubbings extend into the image of the title woodcut, where there is a small surface fissure in the center.(R)

This lot can only be purchased subject to regular taxation, artist‘s resale right compensation is due.
Regular taxation:
Hammer prices up to € 200,000: 25 % buyer's premium. Hammer prices above € 200,000: for the share up to € 200,000: 25%, for the share above € 200.000: 20% buyer's premium.
The statutory VAT of currently 7 % is levied to the sum of hammer price and premium.
Calculation of artist‘s resale right compensation:
For works by living artists, or by artists who died less than 70 years ago, a artist‘s resale right compensation is levied in accordance with Section 26 UrhG:
4 % of hammer price from 400.00 euros up to 50,000 euros,
another 3 % of the hammer price from 50,000.01 to 200,000 euros,
another 1 % for the part of the sales proceeds from 200,000.01 to 350,000 euros,
another 0.5 % for the part of the sale proceeds from 350,000.01 to 500,000 euros and
another 0.25 % of the hammer price over 500,000 euros.
The maximum total of the resale right fee is EUR 12,500.
The artist‘s resale right compensation is VAT-exempt.
