Twice signed and dated on the reverse of the canvas, as well as titled and inscribed with a direction arrow. 100 x 80 cm (39.3 x 31.4 in).

• Gerhard Hoehme is considered the leading representative of German Informalism and the creator of one of the most diverse bodies of work in post-war German art.
• The expressive lines, open pictorial spaces, and the eponymous “cross” as a focal point convey movement, disruption, and spiritual depth.
• In 2020, the Düsseldorf Art Academy, where Hoehme himself once studied and taught, held a major retrospective to mark the 100th anniversary of the artist's birth.
• His works are in numerous German museums, including the Städel Museum in Frankfurt am Main, the ZKM in Karlsruhe, and the Kunsthalle in Kiel.

another 3 % of the hammer price from 50,000.01 to 200,000 euros,
another 1 % for the part of the sales proceeds from 200,000.01 to 350,000 euros,
another 0.5 % for the part of the sale proceeds from 350,000.01 to 500,000 euros and
another 0.25 % of the hammer price over 500,000 euros.
The maximum total of the resale right fee is EUR 12,500.
The artist‘s resale right compensation is VAT-exempt.
