• Dadaism, Constructivism, and Futurism characterize his artwork.
• The artist and his wife were friends with Willi Baumeister, Kurt Schwitters, and László Moholy-Nagy.
• Works by Robert Michel can be found in renowned museums, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Sprengel Museum in Hanover, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
PROVENANCE: Artist's studio (probably until at least 1968. Verso stamped “Heimatmuseum of Modern Art,” Schmelz).
