• In 1928, this figure won Renée Sintenis third prize in the Olympic art competition in Amsterdam.
• Sintenis created her renowned athlete sculptures in the 1920s.
• An early example of artistic exploration of movement, dynamics, and body image in the Weimar Republic.
• The bronze sculpture displays Renée Sintenis's characteristic style: minimalist realism with expressive tension.
