Left and right images each signed and dated, as well as titled on the reverse side. Each 80 x 100 cm (31.4 x 39.3 in).
• Gerhard Hoehme is regarded as the leading representative of German Informalism and the creator of one of the most diverse bodies of work in German post-war art.
• The work was acquired directly from the artist's estate.
• Impressive exhibition history: “mige – egim” has featured in Hoehme exhibitions at, among others, the Museum am Ostwall in Dortmund, the National Gallery in Athens, and the Haggerty Museum of Art in Milwaukee, USA.
• With his famous plastic cords, Gerhard Hoehme expands the pictorial space and experiments with the boundaries of the image carrier.
• Works by the artist are in numerous German museum collections, including the Städel Museum, Frankfurt am Main, the ZKM Karlsruhe, and the Kunsthalle Kiel.
