Schöne Straßburger Wiegendruck-Ausgabe des weit verbreiteten Bibellexikons, von Luther später als "Mönchemist und Teufelsdreck" verdammt. Exemplar aus der Sammlung Hans Fürstenberg!
Das zwischen 1470 und 1521 in über 30 Drucken erschienene spätmittelalterliche Werk diente als Lehrbuch für Kleriker, in dem "alle in der hl. Schrift und im kirchlichen Stundengebet vorkommenden schwierigen Worte etymologisch und grammatikalisch erläutert werden" (Wetzer/Welte VIII, 586).
EINBAND: Späterer Pergamentband. Folio. 28,5 : 20 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit einer Fleuronnée-Initiale und zahlreichen eingemalten Lombarden in Rot und Blau. - KOLLATION: 154 (von 160) Bll. Got. Typen. 2 Spalten mit Kolumnentitel. 53 Zeilen. Rubriziert. - ZUSTAND: Fehlen die letzten 6 Bll. - Stellenw. schwach gebräunt, erste Bll. leicht wasserrandig, tls. mit kl. Wurmspur (Buchstabenverlust), Buchblock angebrochen, VGelenk etw. eingerissen. - PROVENIENZ: Aus der Sammlung von Hans Fürstenberg, mit dessen goldgeprägtem Leder-Exlibris im Innendeckel. - Danach dänische Privatsammlung.

Nice rubricated Strasbourg edition of the widely used Bible lexicon. With fleuronne initial and numerous painted lombards in red and blue. Later vellum. - 154 (of 160) leaves, lacking the last quire. Partly slight browning, first leaves slightly waterstained, partly with small wormtrace (loss of letters), inner binding broken, front joint with tears. Hans Fürstenberg copy, his leather bookplate on pastedown.
