Komponist und Kapellmeister, 1825-1899. Eigenhändiger Brief mit Unterschrift, in Französisch. (Ort unleserlich), 12. August 1854. 1 S. Auf Doppelblatt. 21,5 : 14 cm.
An den Pariser Musikverleger Heugel, vermutlich von einem Kuraufenthalt.
Bittet ihn, ihm möglichst schnell die Noten für "La Sainte Cécile .. avec accompagnement de Violoncello" zuzuschicken. ".. Ditez moi mon cher Heugel le résultat de votre voyage en Allemagne; quand à nous, nous avons toujours beaucoup de monde ici et la Saison a été assez favorable. Monsieur et Madame Meillet donnent Mardi leur dernier représentation .." Richtet desweiteren Grüße aus an "Madame et Monsieur Iwens". - Im August 1854 hielt sich der vielfach beanspruchte Komponist und Kapellmeister auf Kur in Bad Gastein auf.
- ZUSTAND: Im Rand an drei Stellen mit Leimspuren von einer früheren Montierung, Falz am oberen Ende mit kleiner Fehlstelle durch Mäusefraß (kein Buchstabenverlust).

To the music publisher Heugel in Paris, probably from a spa stay. Asks him to sent him some sheet music, enquires after Heugel's travels through Germany, describes his stay at the spa ("nous avons tout le monde ici et la saison a été assez favorable"), mentions the couple Meillet and the couple Iwens. Autograph letter signed. 1 p. On double leaf. 21,5 : 14 cm. - With glue traces in the margins, top of fold with slight rodent damage (no loss of letters). - 1 addition.
