Aus der schönen Tafelfolge über die Brunnen in Rom und Umgebung, die lange als Standardwerk zur römischen Brunnenarchitektur galt.
Hier Teil II Le Fontane delle ville di Frascati, nel Tusculano sowie Tl. III Le Fontane ne' Palazzi e ne' Giardini di Roma , der nach dem frühen Tod Faldas (1643-1678) von Giovanni Francesco Venturini (1650-1710) fertiggestellt wurde. - "This collection of plates is the most charming that has ever appeared on the fountains of Rome and its environs." (Fowler) - Mit detailreichen Ansichten verschiedener Brunnen, Fontänen, Kaskaden und Wasserspielen des 16. u. 17. Jahrhunderts.
EINBAND: Lederband der Zeit mit goldgepr. Wappensupralibros. 28,5 : 42 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Folge von 2 gestochenen Titeln, 2 gestochenen illustr. Widmungsblättern und 42 teils. gefalteten Kupfertafeln, tlw. auf kräfigem Bütten mit Wasserzeichen "Rev. Camera Apostolica". - ZUSTAND: Vorwiegend Tl. III stockfleckig. Einbd. deutlich beschabt und mit Fehlstellen im Bezug tlw. durch Wurmfraß.

Binding visibly rubbed and with defects in cover partly due by worming.
