Schöne altkolorierte Karte von Island mit Darstellung zahlreicher Meeresungeheuer und Fabelwesen.
Zweiter Zustand der Karte, bei dem die Meeresungeheurer alphabetisch numeriert sind. Mit französischem Rückentext, die Seitenzahl ist von alter Hand von 103 auf 104 korrigiert.
- ZUSTAND: Leicht gebräunt, im Passepartoutausschnitt leicht lichtrandig. Zwei kl. Wurmspuren im unt. Rand hinterlegt, Mittelfalte und Außenränder verstärkt. Unter Passepartout und Glas gerahmt.

Decorative and interesting map of island, embellished with numerous phantastic sea monsters, which are numbered with letters (according to the second state). Colored engraving, published by A. Ortelius. With French text on verso, the page number changed from 103 to 104 by an old hand. - Slightly tanned, with only slight matburn, 2 wormtraces to lower white margin rebacked. Matted and framed.
