•Distinctive style: a fusion of American pop art, European surrealism, and a narrative, cartoon-like aesthetic.
•Humor, provocation, and storytelling: Copley's narrative imagery plays with taboos and social conventions.
• Since the 1960s, his paintings have featured motifs from the “Wild West”, one of the core genres of American cinema.
• Other paintings from the 1990s are part of, among others, the collections of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the Museum Frieder Burda in Baden-Baden.
• Most recently, his paintings were part of major exhibitions at the Institute of Contemporary Art / ICA, Miami (2018/2019) and in the Philara Collection in Düsseldorf (2023/2024).
