Die Mappe entstand als solidarische Hilfs- und Freundschaftsaktion prominenter bildender Künstler für den österreichischen Dichter H. C. Artmann.
1 von 18 numerierten Exemplaren der épreuve d'artiste, es existiert eine Auflage von 30 numerierten Exemplaren.
H. C. Artmann war im Alter von 65 in finanzielle Schwierigkeiten geraten. Verstärkt wurde dies durch politische Anfeindungen, u. a. durch Hetzkampagnen von Jörg Haider. Befreundete Künstler schlossen sich zusammen, um Artmann finanziell zu entlasten. Der Titel war eine augenzwinkernde Anlehnung an den seit den 1970er-Jahren vergebenen Düsseldorfer Kunstpreis der Künstler . Durch den Verkauf der Mappenexemplare konnten Artmann über 100.000 Schilling übergeben werden.
Die Lithographien stammen von Christian Ludwig Attersee, Günther Brus, Ludwig Gosewitz, Karl Kocherscheidt, Markus Lüpertz, Hermann Nitsch, Walter Pichler und Dominik Steiger. - Druck auf BFK Rives Bütten mit Wasserzeichen.

This portfolio was created as a gesture of solidarity, friendship, and support by prominent artists for the Austrian poet H. C. Artmann. It contains 8 original lithographs - each signed, dated, and numbered - by Chr. L. Attersee, G. Brus, L. Gosewitz, K. Kocherscheidt, M. Lüpertz, H. Nitsch, W. Pichler, and D. Steiger. The maximum total of the resale right fee is EUR 12,500.
