Erste Ausgabe. Insgesamt umfaßt die Reihe 11 Bände und enstand als Zusammenarbeit von Robert Warner, Benjamin S. Williams und Thomas Moore. Die Originalzeichnungen für die schönen lithographischen Tafeln von J. N. Fitch befinden sich heute im Natural History Museum in London.
EINBAND: Orig.-Leinenbände mit Schwarz- und Goldprägung und Goldschnitt. 31,5 : 26 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit 192 kolor. lithographischen Tafeln tlw. auf getöntem Papier. - ZUSTAND: Vereinz. stockfleckig, Vorsätze etwas stärker. Kanten und Gelenke stellenw. leicht berieben. - PROVENIENZ: Privatsammlung Luxemburg.
