1 von 240 numerierten Exemplaren, schöner breitrandiger Druck auf kräftigem, weißen Rives-Bütten. - Gedruckt im Atelier Aimé Jourde in Paris, Druck der Radierungen bei Louis Fort. Die Edition enthältt 12 Radierungen, die bereits 1927 entstanden waren, und eine 13. als eine Art 'graphisches Inhaltsverzeichnis'; des weiteren zahlreiche Holzschnitte von Georges Aubert nach Picassos abstrakten Zeichnungen und Reproduktionen seiner Strich-Punkt-Zeichnungen von 1924.
Die zweite große Illustrationsfolge Picassos, herausgegeben von Ambroise Vollard in Paris. - "The diversity, yet harmony of Picasso's genius is represented here by the inclusion of both abstract and classical styles in a single volume. The wood-engravings reproduce Cubist figures, still-lifes, and the sparkling 'constellation drawings' of 1926, while the etchings are classical in character, combining pure line with cross-hatching."
