Vorhanden die beiden Hauptbände, mit dem Supplement zum Appendix der ersten Reise, "containing an account of the subjects of natural history" (Untertitel), jedoch ohne den Supplementband zur zweiten Reise. - Beide Reisen trugen dank Parrys systematischer Vorgehensweise wie kaum ein Arktisunternehmen zuvor zur Erkundung und kartographischen Erfassung der kanadischen Arktis und vielmehr noch zur Kenntnis der Inuit und ihrer Kultur bei. - Die Kupferillustrationen, vor allem in der Beschreibung der zweiten Reise, zeigen neben den Karten zahlreiche Ansichten der eindrucksvolle arktischen Landschaft, Szenen von der Expedition sowie Porträts und Trachten der Inuit.

EINBAND: Einheitliche Lederbände der Zeit mit maritimer Rückenvergoldung und 2 Rückenschildern sowie goldgeprägter Deckelbordüre und -vignette. 27,5 : 22 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit zusammen 15 gestochenen Karten (8 gefaltet), 46 gestochenen Tafeln (tlw. in Aquatinta) und 4 gefalteten gestochenen Küstenprofilen. - KOLLATION: 5 Bll.
