Der vollständige entomologische Teil aus dem bedeutenden südamerikanischen Expeditionsbericht. Mit anschaulichen Tafeln von Krebsen, Spinnen, Käfern und Schmetterlingen.
Die in den Jahren 1843-47 auf Veranlassung der französischen Regierung unternommene Forschungsreise wurde von Castelnau in 7 Bänden und einem Atlasband 1850-1861 dokumentiert. Der von H. Lucas verfaßte Teil zur Entomologie bildet den dritten Teil von Band VII (Zoologie). Er enthält die Kapitel Crustacés , Arachnides , Coléotères und Lépidoptères mit detailliert und sorgfältig kolorierten Tafeln.
EINBAND: Späterer grüner Leinenband. 32 : 25 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit 20 kolor. gestochenen Tafeln. - KOLLATION: 2 Bll., 204 S. - ZUSTAND: Gebräunt. - PROVENIENZ: Privatsammlung Baden-Württemberg.
