colored pencil drawings are made with a writing and drawing implement. colored pencils consist of a water-insoluble colored core fixed in wood that is usually lacquered. Not much is known about the origin of the colored pencil. Although colored pencils were first mentioned in the early 19th century, it is safe to assume that they were made and used before that time.
