Munich, 28 November, 2013, (kk) – Francis Bacon and Andy Warhol are lightweights - compared with Mangala, the painting elephant lady. Now one of her very special works will be auctioned.
As of 2nd December, the work, which seems to have been inspired by far eastern calligraphy, will be offered on www.ketterer-internet-auctions.com and could perhaps be a Christmas present of a different kind. The KlinikClowns* are already excited about the auction, as they will receive the complete proceeds. Their special Christmas season charity campaign will make for big smiles on the faces of ill children.

The charme of this unusual work is created by the contrast between the various colors on the one hand and the brush marks' identic direction on the other. Despite their conformity, they express a special dynamic and spontaneity. The artist was born in India in 1993 and lives and works in Munich.
Since it was founded in 1954, Ketterer Kunst has been firmly established in the front ranks of auction houses dealing in fine art and rare books, with its headquarters in Munich and a branch in Hamburg. Gallery rooms in Berlin as well as representatives in Heidelberg, Düsseldorf and Modena (Italy) contribute substantially to the company's success. In addition, exhibitions, special theme and charity auctions as well as online auctions are regular events at Ketterer Kunst. Robert Ketterer is auctioneer and owner of Ketterer Kunst.
