Signed and dated upper right. 34.7 x 27.3 cm (13.6 x 10.7 in).
Illustration for the series 'Don Chisciotte della mancia' published in the magazine Tempo in 1964 and 1965 and in the book of the same name (published by Aldo Palazzi Editore, Milano 1965, p. 269).[EH].

Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by Archives Descharnes on 4 February, 2014. The work is registered under the number "d5333" in the Archives Descharnes.

In the mid 1950s Dalí met Dr.Mara Albaretto and her husband Dr. Giuseppe Albaretto, they become his "Italian family". Over the course of their long frinedship they have compiled one of the largest European Dali collections. This work became part of this collection directly from the artist.
