Silversheet, cut, bent, cut strips bent into a ring head, open, overlapping hoop.
Inside the hoop under the ring head with the signature stamp. Unique object. Diameter: 2 cm (0.7 in).

• Created in Dangast around 1912.
• Probably originally owned by Rosa Schapire.
• Artful design from a single piece.
• A Schmidt-Rottluff ring that is at the Schleswig-Holstein State Museum today is designed according to the same principle

In his catalogue raisonné, Gerhard Wietek points out that the ring had already been shown and photographed as a loan at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg in 1925, but was not depicted in Max Sauerlandt's publication at the same time. Wietek assumes that this ring is one of the two silver rings that Rosa Schapire had made available for the exhibition.
