• This is the first time that a copy of this color lithograph is offered on the international auction market (source: artprice.com).
• After 1945 Heckel increasingly made flower still lifes, perhaps also as a sign of appreciation for the fertile soil on Lake Constance in the dire times after the war.
• After WWII, Erich Heckel pursued his artistic path. The year this work was made, Erich Heckel had his first solo show after the war in Hamburg.
