Stellenw. schwach wasserrandig und vereinz. leicht gebräunt oder geringfüg. fleckig, 4 Bll. gelöst und mit (tls. stärkeren) Randläsuren, wenige Bll. mit kl. Papierfehlern oder Randmängeln, erste und letzte Bll. mit geringen Wurmspuren. Titel und Vorsatz mit tlw. gelöschten hs. Besitzvermerken und Stempel. Einbd. beschabt und bestoßen, Kanten mit einigen Bezugsdefekten, Rücken beschädigt, RDeckel mit Randausbruch (urspr. Kettenbeschlag). First edition by this printer (from which he received his name), at the same time the first dated book by these printing-office which existed from 1483-86 and, according to Proctor, had connections with Grüninger. Fine two-column print with wide margins. Contemp. calf over wooden boards with Gothic blind-tooling. - Lacking first and last blank. - Slight waterstaining in places, here and there minor browning or staining, 4 leaves detached and with (partly stronger) marginal damages, slight worming to first and last leaves, title and fly-leaf with partly erased ownership inscriptions and stamp. Binding rubbed and bumped, little defective spots in covering, spine damaged, back board with broken spot at upper margin (former chain fitting).
