Cartier 326. - Mortimer 85. - BM STC, French Books p. 169. - Adams F 706. - Second edition of the famous series of woodcuts by Bernard Salomon (first edition 1554), for the first time with the woodcuts on the apocalypse, with the verse in six lines by Fontaine. The Avertissement aux Lecteurs signed with Charles Fontaine's anagramm "Hante le François". - The nice woodcuts in strong colouring. - Somewhat stained, title cropped close in the head margin.
Second edition of the fine woodcut set by B. Salomon, the first with text for the Apocalypse cuts. 19th cent. calf with gilt spine. - Some staining, upper edge of title cut close. The cuts in strong impressions.
