Coleridge's famous poem Rime of the Ancient Mariner (1798). - With world map in two hemispheres (printed from two plates), the plates showing Chilean and Californian Indians and seals. Corners bumped, joints slightly loosened, spine ends with small restorations.
First edition of the account, including an episode about a shot albatross which is said to have been the inspiration for the main image in Coleridge's famous poem Rime of the Ancient Mariner. 4 engr. plates and 1 folding engr. map. Contemp. calf. - Inside clean. Edges bumped, joints slightly shaken, extremities of spine restored.
