Fan. Paper in lithograph, coloured with goauche and silver-heightened, rear with 3 floral vignettes in silver. Horn sticks, carved, broken and silvered, just as the two cover sticks. Presumaly France around 1830. 29, 5 cm (reed space ca. 13,5 cm), opening angle ca. 160º.
Decorative fan from the early 19th century. The lithograph, mostly in white, grey, black and blue, shows a merry soiree in a rural surrouding, the ladies are dressed in contemp. fashion, the men in clothes and with hair styles in the style of Louis-treize, two servants carry drinks and food. The scene is completed by two ornamnetal cartouches in silver on black ground on both ends, a floral border makes for the fan's margin. The horn sticks with tendrils and ornamental elements. - Fan with three splits in the folding (between 1,5 - 3 cm), a small defective spot in the right half. Foldings sligthly discoloured, silver with various degrees of xoidation, sticks rubbed in places. Well-preserved and decorative fan from the days of French restauration.
