Schiefler/Mosel/Urban 145 II (of III). Signed lower right. One of at leas 26 copies of II. state (and 4 copies of I. and ca. 14 copies of III. state). Strong black impression with traces of etching to facet, presumably from the edition from 1929. Second and presumably final state, the III. state of Nolde mentioned by Schiefler/Mosel/Urban shows no visible differences. On strong wove paper. 31 x 41 cm (12,2 x 16,1 in), size of plate. Sheet: 37,7 x 46,5 cm (14,8 x 18,3 in).

One of the impressive views of the Hamburg harbor that Nolde rendered directly onto the plate during a sojourn in 1910.
