EINBAND: 6 verschiedene Halblederbände d. Zt. 24 : 15 cm und 26 : 16 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit 1242 (1241 kolorierten) Kupfertafeln (von 1263; davon 107 gefaltet). - ZUSTAND: Bd. 32 ohne Titelblatt. Es fehlen die Tafeln 1246, 1258, 1263, 1292, 1299, 1307, 1314-1328. - Stellenw. gebräunt oder stockfl., wenige Taf. mit leichtem Abklatsch. Einbde. tls. etw. berieben, 9 Bände (Rücken unter Verwendung alten Materials) beschabt, 1 VDeckel gelöst, Kap. tls. mit Läsuren. - PROVENIENZ: Versch. Stempel, Exlibris und hs. Besitzeinträge, darunter Exlibris ”F. Fasting, Rio de Janeiro” (Bde. 1 und 5), Exlibris "John Deacon" (Bd. 24), Wappen-Exlibris (Bd. 68).

One of the most beautiful and well-known flower magazines. With 1242 (1241 colored) copperplates (from 1263; of which 107 are folded). 6 different contemp. half-leather volumes. 24 : 15 cm and 26 : 16 cm. - Available volumes 1-9 (1792-1795), 13/14 (double volume, 1799-1800), 31/32 (double volume, 1810), 33 (1811), 34 (1811), 49-50 (18223-1823) , 52-56 (1825-1829) and 68 (1842). - Vol. 32 without title page. Plates 1246, 1258, 1263, 1292, 1299, 1307, 1314-1328 missing. - Partly browned or foxed, a few plates with faint offsetting. Bindings partly slightly rubbed, 9 volumes (spine using old material) scraped, 1 cover loosened, extremities of spine partly with defects. Various stamps, bookplates and handwritten ownership entries: including bookplates “F. Fasting, Rio de Janeiro” (vols. 1 and 5), ex-libris “John Deacon” (vol. 24), coat-of-arms ex-libris (vol. 68).
