Signed and dated in lower right side. Dated, titled and inscribed with the work number "C 2519" on the reverse. 159.5 x 120 cm (62.7 x 47.2 in). [CH].
• Large-format, elaborate work with a painting-like effect.
• Unique work with which Castelli succeeds in creating an attractive and irritating simultaneity of figuration and abstraction.
• Luciano Castelli's works have already been featured in important exhibitions, including documenta 5 in Kassel, the 39th Venice Biennial (1980) and a show at the Museum of Modern Art, New York (1987).
• Most recently, some of his works were part of the large-scale exhibition "Die Erfindung der Neuen Wilden - Malerei und Subkultur um 1980" at the Ludwig Forum, Aachen (2018/19).
• Currently some of the artist's works can be seen in the exhibition "Transformer. Luciano Castelli - Selfportraits 1974" at Galerie Deschler in Berlin (until June 2021) .
