• Middendorf works on the canvas with vehement gestures, a varied combination of materials and dark colors.
• A vivid example of the "violent painting style" of the "Young Wild Artists".
• The collaged motifs appear as a mind map of art-historical allusions and associations with Stone Age cave paintings, ancient Roman portraits, early Christian motifs and punk graffiti.
