• Gleichmann is an important representative of German Expressionism.
• In 1918 the artist joined the "Hanover Secession" with Kurt Schwitters as one of its mots prominent members.
• The Sprengel Museum, Hanover, honored him with a solo show in 1987 on occassion of his 100th birthday.

Firmly laid on fiberboard panel. With small losses and splits, especially in lower margin, here with skillfully retouched spots.
