• Personal testimony of the important artistic friendship between Cuno Amiet and Giovanni Giacometti.
• Outstanding compositional portrait, which – without internal structures – arises solely from the perfect interplay of line and unprinted surface.
• Dedication copy for Dr. Hans Fehr, professor of Legal History in Jena and Halle and a passive member of the "Brücke" since 1906.
• Fehr was acquainted with Nolde and Kirchner and also came into contact with Amiet through the "Brücke" artists in 1907.
