Mit den brillianten Lithographien mit Darstellung der Ausgrabungsstätten und antiken Gegenstände. "An example of the degree of technical virtuosity reached by this time in lithography, giving plates brilliant in effect, the equivalent of modern four-coulor process work from photographs. It is very difficult to tell whether, or to what extent, the plates touched by hand; probably those showing the greatest range of colours ... were so treated, and no. 9 appears to have been touched with varnish ... with skilful modeling in the tints. The inks are excellent, with some strong velvety blacks." (Abbey) - Einband stärker bestoßen, VGelenk gebrochen.
