Very early work, which adds on to a series of three composition (cf. Wöbkemeier 38-41), that are part of a number of Italian motifs the artist made on a journeys through Italy in 1913. [NB]

Signed lower right. 23,2 : 32,2 cm (9,1 : 12,6 in).
EXPERTISE: With an expertise by Ms Ruth Wöbkemeier, Bremen, dated 10 September 2008
Colours in fresh condiiton. With craquelé, skilfully stabilised. Tiny brown stains and isolated tiny colour flakings. With two larger defective spots in the right of the lower margin, one affecting the signature, each skilfully restored.
