Superficially darkened and soiled respectively. One tear to the upper margin. Margins bumped due to the framing, with small colour losses in places. Stretcher minimally pushing through. Two small retouchings.
Oil on canvas.
Signed and dated "J. B. Wss. 55." lower right. 71 : 94,5 cm (27,9 : 37,2 in). J. B. Weiss ascribes himself, under the influence of Andreas Achenbach, almost exclusively to marine painting. [UB]
