Wilhelm von Tyros - arch bishop and chancellor of the kingdom of Jerusalem - is regarded as one of the most important medieval chronists. - Waterstained in places, slightly thumbed in places, few leaves at the beginning and at the end with rebacked marginal defects. Else fine copy.
First Italian edition of this important source for the crusades, one of the most significant chronicles of the Middle Ages. With 2 woodcut printer's devices (rep.) and several figured woodcut initials. 18th cent. vellum with gilt title on spine. - Partly waterstaining, here and there slightly fingerstained, few leaves at beginning and end with mended marginal defects. Else well preserved copy.
