Raddampfern. - "Currier & Ives published this view to mark the completion of the great Eads Bridge, an engineering triumph appearing at lower right. There is symbolism here: the railroad whose entry into the city that the bridge made possible was ultimately to be responsible for the demise of the river traffic on which St. Louis depended." - Etw. stockfleckig, linkes Drittel leicht angeschmutzt und lichtrandig.
